A Message from the President
Hello everyone,
We have just been notified by the RPGA that due to budgetary and
space constraints, Living Arcanis will not be supported by the RPGA
at Gen Con Indy 2006. This means that the LA premieres will not be
offered as part of the RPGA schedule and that there will be no
badges, rooms, or other benefits supplied to LA judges by the RPGA.
(Update: Paradigm has secured some of these benefits, watch this page for details -Eric)
To be clear, the RPGA is not dropping LA nor are we leaving theRPGA. This is a one-time situation (as far as we know) and although
it is unfortunate, it does not change the overall status of the
campaign.

With that said, if you were to send an e-mail to the RPGA
letting them know how disappointed you are with their decision not
to support LA at Gen Con Indy 2006, perhaps that would encourage
them to consider us more carefully when developing their budget for
future shows. Please make sure that you are polite and respectful
in any communications that you have with the RPGA, however, as you
represent not only yourself, but the entire community of Arcanis
players and judges.
Obviously, not having the RPGA support for the premiere mods puts us
in a bit of a quandary. We would still like to offer the Chris
Sanders Experience (tm) at Gen Con, which includes two Soft Point
premieres as well as the Battle Interactive. As usual, we're asking
for your help. While we unfortunately can't offer rooms to our
judges, we are able to offer FREE badges to those who are able to
work for us. If you GM four (4) rounds worth of LA at Gen Con Indy
2006, PCI will provide you with a free badge. Each of the two Soft
Points counts as one (1) round each time you judge it, and the
Battle Interactive counts as two (2) rounds. So you could judge
both Soft Points once each plus the BI, or you could judge four
rounds' worth of Soft Points.
To sweeten the pot, all judges who run at least three (3) sessions
of LA at Gen Con Indy (either two one-round mods or just the BI)
will receive a FREE EXCLUSIVE "CERT SHIRT" that will not be sold
anywhere and is only available through this program. This shirt
will work like the other LA-playable shirts that we have sold in the
past but it will ONLY be available to LA judges at Gen Con Indy
2006.
Although the RPGA's decision puts us in a bad spot we believe that
we can still offer our full slate of planned events if we get enough
volunteer judges. We greatly appreciate those of you who are
willing to run LA for us at Gen Con Indy 2006 and hope that the
various tokens of appreciation described above demonstrate that. To
each and every one of you, judges and players alike, we offer our
thanks for your support of Living Arcanis and of PCI.
