So I hate to resurrect this, but does spinning strike still work with unbalanced attack to get the bonus on the off hand attack?

Nothing's changed that as far as I know.
I still have that combination written up as part of a character sheet . . .. I might well not after Codex of Heroes comes out, and I implement the allowed rebuild, though. _________________ Valeriano Innocenzo Camillo de Larissa la Galletti

Thanks.
Have a new question: Can the Simple Combat Maneuvers listed on page 311 be used with Base Combat Maneuvers? With Advanced Combat Maneuvers?
The text on page 310 seems to indicate not, but it is a little vague in its generality. It also would mean that Two-Weapon Fighting (listed on 311) couldn't combine with other Combat Maneuvers to form Advanced Maneuvers.

John | Yes it does currently.

The talent version counts as a Base Maneuver. _________________ -Devin Redd, Detroit Harvester

Hmm, well that puts a big crimp in my entire combat style Not sure why I hadn't noticed that earlier, but now I get to rethink my whole combat style *laugh*. I had hoped to use my Steel Whip to perform Disarm and Trip attacks at 10' away
Kinda bummed by that to be honest.

All you'll need to do is take the TWF talent and you're in business. Although I'm guessing that the prowess/quickness requirement is keeping you from qualifying to take it at the moment. Look at it this way... fighting with two weapons is a very difficult thing to do well. Sure, anyone can hold a weapon in each hand. But most people will tend to use one weapon or the other at any given instant. Without training and practice (represented by the talent) you're essentially fighting with one weapon on one action and the other weapon on a different action. Perhaps your character just needs a "little more practice" to master his chosen fighting style.

Scott,
It's actually not the two-weapon fighting that's an issue right now. That I already qualify for. I'm all for 'coming into my own' as it were combat wise, as long as the end is possible.
It's the ability to Disarm or Trip at 10' away using my Steel Whip *laugh*. I had (incorrectly) assumed I could use "Long Strike" Weapon Trick with either the Disarm or Trip simple maneuver (and perhaps because they were 'simple' they might even combine with an advanced maneuver). I found the relevant section of the rules that says you can't do that. It isn't a huge deal, but it does make me rethink where my character was headed long term. The Disarm and Trip Martial Techniques are both Advanced Maneuvers already so can't be combined with anything.
Thanks,
