1) Should Female Heroes be treated poorly, owing to the Patriarchy of Haina?
2) In the final battle, would Sorcerer-Priests of Sarish be treated as having "Divine Spell Casting"?

I always treat SPoS as both whenever it comes up. Benefits them are not. If something is checking to see if they are Divine, they are. If it is checking to see if they are Arcane, they are.
I haven't run into a situation where something ask if they are one or the other though.

There is no blanket answer to that question. If the meeting is private (e.g. the Seneschals), provided that the Hero in question isn't deliberately insulting and antagonizing, then no.
If it is a public meeting (e.g. with the soldiers in the village) and more than 1 Hainese male is present (even guards), then they are not treated poorly unless they break Hainese customs such as if they bowed first, bowed lower, or spoke prior to being asked to by a male. (They are obviously given a pass on the wearing arms and armor thing).
Also, it is good to remember that in Hainese culture, you may not publicly show respect to someone of a lower station. This includes lower ranking soldiers, non-military personnel, etc. Imagine not so much treating them poorly, as much as not considering them at all (while in public).

Also, there may be a number of female Heroes that will want to "buck the system"...which is understandable. If they are being deliberately antagonizing and disrespectful in public, remember that it is a criminal offense. I would give them a fair warning, but if they persist, arrest and banishment would soon follow.

I just recall how much the sexism thing played in the IK for Haina. Thought it'd be a bigger thing....

How I described it is exactly how the Haina IK had it. If it would help, contact me off-list and I will send you the Domain Doc.

That was a common issue in the last arc - many players and GMs went far beyond the text and ended up really changing the flavor of the region from how it was written. I urge GMs to read closely how it was written. If all else fails, go with what mighty28 says - he's the Haina expert. 
(Not that he wrote Haina up all by himself, but he's the only one of them on the boards.)

Yes, yes it was. I almost TPK'd the party. Got them to burn a record 6 fate points between 6 players!
Overall, I'm sure it would be not bad normally against the Cleaver Devils (name escapes me), but my table got shitty initiatives and one failed a Horror check. Overall, very rough fight, and they would have died if Jin didn't save their asses!

They were just stat cracked. We survived but we burnt through our all our fate scores save one point.

I am REALLY suprised you guys didnt report any deaths, given the spell line-up. When I ran that at the playtest, I did it as vicious and hardcore as possible...only 1 lucky crit on a cleaver (charge on first Tick) and the party still only saved someone by 1 Tick.
