According to the second paragraph under Types on pg. 93, you can only learn Arcanum talents if one has either the Awakened, Gifted, Sarishan Mage, Sarishan Priest, or Studied. So if one simply has the Devoted talent, that does not allow them to learn Arcanum talents.
However, under the advancement for Divine Archetype, it lists Gain one Arcanum Talent. Is this meant to bypass the restriction listed on pg. 93 or should that be that be Gain one Devout Talent?
(and there are some nice Arcanum talents that I would love my divine caster to be able to employ) _________________ Jay Anderson - Knoxville, TN area

I will have to talk to Eric about this, but I'm sure it’s intentional
You see, due to the way devout spells are taught, there is very little flexibility in the way they are cast…
Which is why Devout does not give 100% free access to Arcanum talents, but members of the Divine archetype can still learn them in a very limited way, through an advancement option which may be used only once per Tier. _________________ Pedro C Barrenechea

You may already cover this, but I wasn't entirely sure. Under requirements, it says "When a talent is taken you must meet all stated requirements, except when the talent is acquired through an Archetype..." I wasn't sure if this was also referring to Archetype Rank Advancement benefits as well. Also, that sentence could conceivably only be reffering to the Requirements line and not the Types Keywords. _________________ Jay Anderson - Knoxville, TN area

You are correct they refer only to listed Requirements. not types and keywords. _________________ Pedro C Barrenechea
