With the new adventure request policy published last night (http://www.paradigmconcepts.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=513), I know that it's impossible to meet the lead times listed for near-in conventions, either those requesting a premiere or just wanting adventures in the next month.
Since this is the start of the campaign, I will take requests that are inside the deadlines described in the policy.
So, if you have a convention scheduled for August through December of this year for which you wish to request a premiere, you may submit that request immediately. Just be forewarned that I might not have an immediate answer for you.
I will also accept requests for Origins adventures immediately, with the caveat that, per Henry's post, I don't have a firm distribution date. But, I will send them out as soon as they're available.

I have a comment/request regarding request times for home play events. I know that a week+ is not that much time in the grand scheme of things. But we're talking about adventures that have premiered 2+ months ago. And we're also, quite often, dealing with home-play events that are put together on short notice. (In my case, ofthen a day or two.) Or, we're dealing with situations where players and sometimes judges drop out on short notice and someone else steps up to judge a different adventure.
In the last campaign, adventures that were ready for general consumption were posted to a public site for general download. This helped to facilitate games that were put together on short notice or were changed on short notice. With this new system, those games will, more often than not, simply fall apart.
Is there a reason that events, once ready for home play, still need to be "ordered" through the convention liason rather than just downloaded? I read the adventure ordering policy. And this part of it has me concerned. Because I often found myself throwing together an adventure on short notice. (sometimes 3-4 days. Sometimes hours.) And although it's more of the exception than the rule, it is a common exception (I think.) And a few hours is generally more than sufficient to prepare for an adventure.
Thanks,
Scott |

Scott,
I understand your concern. However, running all of the requests through me for home play is a temporary solution - the plan is to make the adventures downloadable from the campaign web site, once it's available.
Rest assured that I will be staying on top of the requests and sending out adventures as quickly as I can.
As for the Origins adventures, we're not late yet. I know it feels like forever since Origins, but under the published policy, those adventures wouldn't be available for home play until GenCon anyway.

Yup, trust me, the long-term plan in no way includes making every home-play event go through Maryrita to get their events; that is a huge volume of work (which she is graciously shouldering while I finish the campaign website). _________________ James Zwiers
