Will we see more of it? Someone said at Origins they were surprised that the Elorii were even a playable race this time around. And that point can be seen. What with must NPC's and PC's having to right to kill me for being a heretic.
And with most a lot of the cool story moments being, "Oh.... well you have to wait in the lobby with the secretary hereti.... elv.... elorii." Awkward silence. "He's some luke warm coffee with a lotta grounds floating in it." (I understand why, just never go anything in return for it.) _________________ Devin - The Elorii shall rise again

I'm sure that there will be stories involving Elorii this time around, even if they are not the PRIMARY focus of the story. After all, we got enough hints that the 'end times' were coming in the last storyline, and the Prophecy is still in effect _________________ Cody Bergman

No worries, Devinknyte. It's as you said, a revolution is brewing

Awesome. Whatever it is, I can't wait. I'm sure it will be good.
A big plot never got finished in the last arc that I'd like to see done. And I'd love to see the return of "Visions of Lives Past" or something really cool that gave the effect of remembering things from past lives. _________________ Devin - The Elorii shall rise again

Something to consider, an Elorii revolution storyline in CSE play is likely to require it to be palatable to all the playable races including Val. They had also not intended and weren't happy with having players squaring off against each other as things closed.
Imagine for a moment an Elorii revolution spurred by an Elorii nation co-opted by a being pretending to be an Elorii god where it becomes fairly obvious to PCs that the being isn't who it claims to be. The groundwork's all there.
Is that's what's coming? Not sure. But it's what my money would be on if an Elorii Revolution does materialize. Complete with references to the War of Retribution, the co-opting of humans in some capacity as further sign of the times. Should make for some interesting debates.
With a sweep of his hat,
Paul |

Lol. When I put the revolution thing in my sig, I didn't think anything of it except something some other Elorii players and I were talking about. _________________ Devin - The Elorii shall rise again

| If there's going to be an Elorii revolution sign me up! I've played Elorii since I first started Arcanis and I've always loved the race and all its stories. I haven't experienced the same kind of ostracizing in the CSE mods as an Elorii and I'm kind of wondering where that's coming from since I've judged them and I don't think that's supposed to happen that way. Unless of course you worship human gods; then yah, heretic heretic heretic. I recall James or Henry saying that the Visions/Memories of Lives past would be worked into mods without the Elorii player having to take a talent. Essentially, mods would have visions that any Elorii playing will get automatically. Takes away from the flavor a bit but I remember running a few mods with those visions and often just giving them to an Elorii player regardless of their feat choice just because its cool to give players visions. By the way, Deviknyte what's a "Chanter of the Rebirth and the Bright Lands"? A) it sounds awesome and B) can I join? |

I've loved the Elorii since I read the original book.
Any actual rebellion that happens in this or the next story arc is completely coincidental. I personally have no idea what Henry and the like have planned.
As per the Chanter of the Rebirth. My character is just waiting for the return of Belisarda's siblings. And Belisarda, with the power to create life from nothing, can make it happen. You'll see me at next years Origins and GenCon standing on a soapbox (chair) preaching the good word to the lowly humans.
As per the Bright People, once I get in contact with my friend John the name will be official. But we're working on something very Elorii related and your totally invited if you love the Elorii and celebrate every day the human gods don't come back. And we'll see what the campaign staff let us do with it, lol. _________________ Devin - The Elorii shall rise again

Having recently played a Marokene Elorii in SP 1-1, I must say I was a little ... puzzled on just what seperates the Marokene from other Elorii (apart from mechanically).
Ive never played an Elorii before, but was convinced due to the cries I keep hearing 'Nobody plays an Elorii' and made it Martial because I still havnt fully wrapped my head around the magic system yet.
The session was quite fun, and as Im playing a Branded Elorii.. I tried to give myself a bit of backfiller on why my character is a Criminal in Seremas. Sadly I know next to nothing about Seremas apart from what is in the quickstart rules. Ive decided that while of a goodly nature, he lacks the 'honorable' mindset of many Marokene.
Are there specific books I should be reading to 'get' the Elorii?
Thanks
