Having just spent some hours creating a character sheet and powers descriptions for my LFR 4e character, I have to ask - is there anything like the 4E framework for CSE?
I suspect it's too early for that, but had to ask.
If there isn't, what did you use when you ran the game Friday? Just a picture token for the PC, with no additional character information attached?
Thanks!

Some of the folks from last night had created powers, etc. for their characters, but I havent' seen a full Character Sheet such that exists for 4e. I think it sounds like a good opportunity for a skilled programmer of MapTools |

I'm slowly starting to create one from scratch. I've got a basic framework that I ran the game on yesterday, and will run Monday's game on. Bit by bit I'm going to be programming more, as I have time.
I will say that we used hexes instead of squares in last night's game, and those worked very well. I think we'll probably keep doing that. _________________ Jeffrey Witthauer

I think the only slight issues we had was for the Storm of Knives/ Daggers spell on Friday game. As Ive yet to read the magic section, I cant go into anymore on depth on that.
I managed to create an initiative macro using the MIN command. Works fairly well.
Ive tried creating a macro to run my characters main broadsword attack without much luck, macros are fairly new to me though (Definetly not an IT nerd ) |

Yeah, right now I'm using "while" loops to simulate attribute exploding dice, and "if" loops to do critical hit and failure detection. It makes the code long and ugly, and I'm sure there's an easier way to do this (I'm not a very good coder, I just barely get by.)
The "storm of knives" thing is just because the templates remain square, even on a hexmap. I think there's a way around that, I just need to figure out what it is. _________________ Jeffrey Witthauer

You don't need loops for exploding dice; the die roller handles those very well. Put an "e" at the end:
1d10e will explode the d10
2d10+1d8e will explode the d8.
FYI ... I'm in the process of defining the framework and making the basic macros for PCs. When I have it in reasonable shape - probably over the next few days, I'm hoping - I'll post that.
I'd like to standardize us on variable names and definitions so that we can exchange macros, if everyone's willing. In a moment, I'll post what I have on a different thread.
And if anyone wants to post macros on that thread, please do!
