Hi,

I'm trying to gather a list of all the various known ethnicities in Arcanis. So far I have:

Abessian, Myrantian*, Altherian, Cancerite, Coryani (Balantican, Cafelan, Illonian, Salantican, Annonican, Valentian), Milandesian, Undir, Hainese, Bastionite, Yhing hir (Vanomir, Hurkomir, Khur Gi, Takomir, Skohir, Pengik), Ymandrake, Khitani*

(* - Would these be legal choices in CSE?)

Anyone know of any I have missed?

One cannot be from Khitani or be of Khitani ethnicity in the campaign.

At least not yet.

It depends on how you're breaking it down. You didn't include any non-humans, so I won't either. Milandir should be split into Naeraanthian, Tralian, and Sylvanian sub-groups (they technically also have Eastmarch and Mil Takara, but I don't think those are really separate ethnicity.) Kio is usually included with human since they're genetically compatible, and Harnen, Lhyllifellan, Mhyrcian, and Eppish are subgroups in the western lands. There's also Naori (the fire-blooded humans from the Pirate Isles). I'm not sure whether Magra and Gharundi are their own ethnicities, or if they're just made up of people from other nations like Freeport is.

There's also Almerican, subdivided into Ulfilia and Morotavia. Canceri should be subdivided into Northern, Middle, and Southern (or Nier's Spine, Blood March, and Cold Plains, or Nierite, Sarishan, and Nerothian, or whatever).

Wow, thanks, that's useful.

I don't think Magra and Gharundi are ethnicities, from the descriptions they seem more like outsiders established local strongholds. Interesting, though - on Saura, are the Issauri some form of Ssethric species?

The Almericans I was not sure if they were established enough to have ethnicities of their own - they seem either Milandesian or Coryani.

I thought the Pengik were not related to the Yhing hir, but were a completely different ethnicity and social structure.

Yah, I moved them in my list to group with the Naori and Undir, as they are kinda the "elemental attuned" humans, even if they're from disparate regions.

"Cultural/Racial Groups of Humanity on Onara from what I have noticed/read. Also included are some of the 'non-human' races for reference:

Coryani-Stock
- Illonian/Balantican (Look like fairly pale Mediterranean people)
- Cafelan/Annonican (Darker hair and complextion to Illonians)
- Valentian/Cormatan (Tend to be fairly pale, more Germanic than other Coryani, though retaining dark hair)
- Almerician/Milandesian (More traditional 'German Aryan' look)
- Cancerese (Nerothians and Sarishans seem by name to be more Persian/Indian in looks, while I'd say the Nierites are more like the Milandesian look)
- Skohir (I recall fluff saying they are more 'Viking-like', though they could be of Khitani-Stock)
- Chauni (Not sure where they fit in, but for some reason I always associate them with Middle-Easterners. . . might just be me filling in the blanks)

Altherian-Stock
- Altherian (Black African)

Myrantian-Stock
- Myrantians (Appear as North-Africans, tend to be darker than Coryani, lighter than Altherans)

Khitani-Stock
- Khitani (Appear to have a very Chinese look to them from discriptions)
- Hainese (Probably more pronounced Japanese accents than Chinese from fluff)
- Yhing Hir (More Mongolian features)
- Rider/Auxunite/Bastionite (Similar to Yhing Hir)

Related Species
- True-Kio (Can interbreed with Humans, tend to be very pale in complexion)
- Pengik (Can also breed with humans, but also have an elemental nature and were on Onara LONG before Humanity came over)

Mixed Breeds
- Kio (Tend to be mixed breed True Kio and Humans/Val)
- Undir (Cross breed between humans and Undine Elemental creatures, Dusky complexion IIRC)
- Naori (Humans, though likely altered by their Elemental God, Polynesian features?)
- Dark-kin (demonic variations of features of above traits)
- Gnome (twisted, cursed mixed-breeds between Dwarf and Humans)
- Val (Mixed Breeds between above humans and Valinor).

Non-Related Species
- Elorii
- Ardekene
- Berokene
- Kelekene
- Marokene
- Osalikene

- Trolls
- Singarthan
- Cave

- Gar Ormal (Replace the Goblin, Orcs, etc?)
- Goblinoids (Ssethric experiments)
- True Gar (in the Ugger region?)

- Dwarves
- Deneki
- Encali
- Solani
- Tir Betoqi
- Tulteptian

- Voiceless Ones

- Issori (extinct?)

- Il'Huan

- Ssethrics

- Ss'ressen
- Black Talon
- Ghost Scale
- Ashen Hide
- Venomous Scale
- Flame Tongue
- Emerald Scale
- Barbed Tail
- Horned Jowl
- Curled Tail
- Dark Crest
- Razor Claw

- Ssanu
- True Ssanu
- Naga

- Salamankas (Replace the Troglodytes?)

- Giants
- Frost Giants
- Celestial Giants (Extinct in that form?)
- "Other Giants" (not sure current status)
