Could I buy the Arcanis game and use it with that? | Yes you can. The Codex Arcanis is a full history of the world from multiple points of view in the universe from 40 years ago in universe. The history section in the core book will get you caught up on most of what happened during that 40 years. _________________ -Devin Redd, Detroit Harvester

Links! (Because that's what I do)
The original Codex Arcanis, as a free pdf. Ignore the crunch, and the setting has been updated 40 years. This has the background before the setting information in the new book, which is more of an update from the original setting.
The Legends of Arcanis campaign website. - links to all available adventures, and the current rules docs, kept updated.
The map originally included in the Codex Arcanis. The borders are different, but the land should at least be close.
Official Character Sheet
Form-fillable character sheet with auto-calculations made by one of our awesome fans.
Chris: My super-short version of the setting is that it's got pieces from most historical empires from ancient Egypt to feudal Germany, all co-existing at the same time. What drew me in was that in the d20 version, the gods didn't have alignments - only their followers, so for instance, Neroth, god of disease with dominion over the body could be prayed to to bring pestilence upon your enemies, health to your allies, or equally to everyone in order to cull the herd and strengthen humanity. The original Codex Arcanis is divided into chapters by region, and each section is written from the point of view of someone from that region, written with their own biases. So the book is full of contradictions, and the source material doesn't specify which is actually true, allowing the GM to pick. And when we started the campaign, there was a lot less mixing between the races, so it was great for new players. You just read about your race and nation, and it was okay to not know anything but the most superficial of information about other races and nations, because that was in character. _________________ ~Kitty Curtis~

As Henry mentioned, I am another one from the UK, and yes Scotland.
There is another group in Aberdeen playing Arcanis, so it seems quite prominent in the NE of Scotland. I hope to get my group soon back to Arcanis, so wish me luck .
Cheers,

Best of luck getting the group together.
I've got about 2 months to read the pdf, buy the hardback, and get a campaign under way.
I'm hoping the errata will be updated in both pdf and hardback soon. _________________ Chris Jones

Forgive my asking but, will those who have already paid for the pdf, be able to download the updated pdf for free once the errata's in? _________________ Chris Jones

The 'updates are available for free' meaning the entire Arcanis core rule book pdf with updated errata? _________________ Chris Jones

Hello,
Let me clarify something to everyone, as I believe there has been a misstatement made.
The Arcanis Core Riles PDF WILL NOT be updated. To do so would require for us to relay out whatever section of the book was affected. Obviously, if something is changed in the upper end of a Chapter, it will trickle said effects down throughout the rest of the pages. Such an undertaking is prohibitive cost-wise, and unless we do another print run, I wouldn't expect for the hard copy version to be updated either
However, on the plus side the actual errata is quite small with the majority of the information in the errata sheet actually being clarifications.
Sorry to disappoint, but such an undertaking would be beyond our ability to produce.

Hello,
I have just been informed by my business partner that since the errata changes mainly consists of changing a word or two, that the text does not flow over into other pages.
IF and I stress IF, such is the case, then an updated version of the PDF will be made available when such changes are made.
Again let me stress, I can't promise such updated version unless and until I see that such will not require us to lay out the book again.
Here's hoping I'm proven wrong.
