Add more to tbe list.....
1) Is there a word or expression or word similar to 'amen' used in Prayers to the Pantheon or members thereof?
2) Has anyone tried to breach to the Citidal of Silence in the past 50 years?
3) Is the dominant terrain type in the Blessed Lands blasted desert as opposed to the fertile planes that used to be there (similar in concept to the once lush Sahara but more looking like the middle east?)
4) Rehash of a question: did the floodplain always exist, or is it only a creation of the last few thousand years?
5) What is the dominent human culture/language of the Blesses Lands?
6) I recall reading that Elandre' hasn't aged in the past 50 years. Does that mean NO aging at all, or simply retarded aging (ie, looks 10 years older)?
7) What nation was Sabinus from before taking the See of Tralia?
How deep into the continent (ie: the Blessed Lands) do Harvesters tend to go?
I understand that not all of these can/will be answered, but many of them are player questions/related to questions they have asked, so any help would be appretiated. _________________ Cody Bergman

Mostly just a bump post. . .
| Nierite wrote: | What has happened to Midden (the town under the God's Wall mountains north of the Vastwood where the south finally got access to the Unsealed Lands? Is it still in existance?
Where along the mountains is the New Tir Betoq? Near Erduk? Jappa? Canceri? Vastwood?
Is there much sea trade between the lands of Onara and the Southern contient? We know Khitan trades with the Hinterlands, but do they do this by sea or by land mostly? If there is much sea trade, do they go around the tip of the southern continent like the Cape of Good Hope?
How widespread are the Gar on Onara? Mostly confined to Uggur, or pretty much everywhere?
Are there any cities of note left in the Blessed Lands? We know there is the town of Picinium and the First City, but beyond that?
What happened to the Flayed Lady? Last I heard she was pushing the Malfelans into a more. . . proactive stance.
How many Keys of Man have been revealed and their fate? I recall one being found in "Temptations of the Flesh," but I am not sure what it's cannon fate.
Were there mountains where the God's Wall is now prior to its raising? We know of Nier's spine and that the Nierites were there prior to the Wall, but how widespread was it?
How deep do you have to go into Dar Zhan Vor before you 'disappear'? There is a coast on the Sea of Coryan so presumably there is a chance for a fishing camp on the shore there.
What is on the North Pole of Arcanis which is so terrifying and kills all who travel there?
Has any previous adventure dealt with Valossia and its remains and what happened to it?
The Elorii and Ssethrics (at least!) remember a time before the Dark Moon. Hasn't there been some comment to this effect by them? The Black Talons keeping some of their ancient lore? |

My thoughts on the following:
3) Everything I know of the Blessed Lands says that they are arrid. I don't know that all parts are sandy (certainly some are ... I forget Derrel Weavers mod in the Blessed Lands but the PCs camped in a Sandy expanse). Other parts may represent stone barrens. And of course there is the forrest of Petrified trees. Definately it is not lush. Elements of the kurenthe still poiison the land as seen in the Blood Snows and the flash freezings.
4) Neat question. I am betting the appearance of the black moon in the days of elder races may influence the extreme tides.
5) The First City IIRC has an Altherian governor with both Coryani and Khitani populations in the city. Thrown in lots of pilgrims and relic seekers and you have a pretty diverse melting pot. That all said, in the module where the PCs traveled to Piscinium (sp?) everyone was speaking a form of Low Coryani.
7) His Immensity came from Coryan, hence the nick name "the fat Coryani" ... though I don't think many people said it to his face. I don't know but suspect he came from Illonia in the heart of the Empire.
Harvesters get around via the Lavender way (often with the support of Reavers) to almost anywhere in the known world. The Sorceror King so far has shown no real interest in the First City of Man, but what do we know? The Blessed Lands might be somewhat safer than the coast... but I wouldn't bet on it. _________________ ~Eisener val'Holryn. Holy Champion of Nier and haunted veteran of the crusade

To my knowledge there is no trade to the Souhtern Continent, except by the Seremasi who have a secret enclave there for training human allies (see Eldest Sons). My understanding (which could be wrong) is that most of the Khitani trade goes through by ship to Censure or overland from merchants met in the First City.
No idea about the Flayed Lady directly ... but hands up if you fought water elementals somewhere in the hinterlands. I see her hand indirectly behind that.
IIRC the key found in Temptations was not a true key. That's based on a conversation with James Zweirs and not part of an offical source. Somewhere a secret society got a hold of it and it is being examined by "top men" I'm sure.
I indirectly touched on Valossia in the module The Isle of Saura, but it seems to have been edited out with the reconception of the Pirate Isles. Rather than undead remnants of the former empire, the Isle of Saura now hosts the amphibian Issuri (or Sea Reavers) (see page 62 of the Aracanis book). _________________ ~Eisener val'Holryn. There were at least two keys presented during the last story-arc. Whether they are true keys of man, or lesser copies is not something that we have ever really officially talked about. _________________ James Zwiers

The Battle of Sicaris was Gencon 2004, named How The Mighty Have Fallen. Unfortunately that's the only one I made it to. Still have an cartography map 5 Fall From Grace I've hung on to from this BI. |
