Walking through the door was a man, tall and thin. His long white hair was pulled forward by the wind from the outside. Brilliant blue eyes focused on the room, searching for a seat. Finding an empty table, he walked toward it, quietly shutting the door behind him. His clothing was of a fine cut, well made and not of cheap cloth. None of these things drew the attention as that which he carried in his left hand. It was a blade made by the secret technique of the race known as the Kio. The way this man carried the sword it was obvious to a seasoned eye that he was a Kio himself and the blade was made for him. Or he for the blade…
Taking the seat he spotted from the doorway, he spoke gently to the bar maid, ordering the best wine the establishment had to offer. He stretched his long legs under the table and waited for his drink.
