Exceptional weapons gain +1 to damage and reduce weapon speed by 1
If a weapon is already speed 3 what do they gain other than more rune slots by having the exceptional weapon quality?
Does it work like celerity rune?
Is the -1 speed applied to maneuvers? making them all slightly faster?
or
If there are no additional maneuvers it adds +1 more damage?
In other words what are the mechanics for an exceptional war fan? or hand axe or dagger?

I think that exceptional lowers it by 1 to a minimum of 3. I'll have to see if I can find that post somewhere. . . _________________ Cody Bergman

If a weapon's speed is already 3, or 2 in case of flintlocks, you do not benefit except from the rune slot. Sorry.
Flintlock note: If you do something to raise the speed above 2, example a Maneuver, doing something else to reduce the speed doesn't reduce it back to 2. _________________ -Devin Redd, Detroit Harvester
