I know there was some discussion of making changes to starting languages and the way languages are acquired. One change I know that was mentioned was giving Ss'ressen Low Coryani so that all PCs can converse.

As it stands it takes a minimum of the Linguistics skill and then either 3 ranks in it per language or taking the Linguist talent on top of the skill to get an immediate language.

Also, can you please consider the Understand Familiar Language option in Luinguistics something that everyone can do? Maybe make it Routine for untrained and Trivial for those with the skill.

Finally, why is it the Diplomat doesn't either have Linguistics, Linguist or a bonus language? Maybe give them a free language without either the skill or Talent to keep it more balanced?

With a sweep of his hat,

Paul
