This scenario is no longer being run; a second table of the first Soft Point is being run instead.

    Muster currently is:

    Time: 7pm

    Maptools & Skype

    GM: Jeffrey Witthauer

    1. Tom Black
    2: Alex
    3: Pete Cooney

At least one more player needed! We will run the Hard Point on another day.

Things I learned from tonight's game, that hopefully I can implement in Monday's game:

    1. Macros that actually spell out the dice rolled are good. I'll be reprogramming some of mine to do this, and I'd appreciate it if your player macros did the same (basic dice roll mechanics do this automatically, so if you're not doing complex programming you don't need to worry about it. If you are making advanced macros, use the e: roll function.)

    2. While the game runs shorter than AIM normally does, online games still run a bit long. So if everyone can try to show up about a hour to a half hour early (6- 6:30 PM EST) so we can work out any bugs folks have with Maptool, muster, and get tokens assigned, that would help us actually start the game on time, and not be up until 1 AM Tuesday morning.

    3. It's a brand new system, and we're all learning. Which means there will likely be things we're running wrong. And while I'd love to look through the book all the time so I can make sure I'm right (because I like to be right,) that would take all night. So accept calls made by the GM even if you think they're wrong, and note them after the game. (My players tonight did not have this problem, and were actually great, but if they had it would have taken forever. Some things were run wrong, which we later caught, but we still had fun despite that.)

    4. There is no #4.

    5. Please, please, please watch the basic player tutorial video for Maptool (found here: http://www.rptoolstutorials.net/?page_id=7) While I can explain the program as best I can, it can sometimes be hard to understand what you are asking.

    6. If you want a custom token to represent your character, at www.rptools.net there's a program called Tokentool that is compatible with Maptool, that lets you easily make custom Maptool tokens out of any graphics file. It's very easy to use, and I highly recommend it.

Regreattably, I am going to have to drop out of Monday's game. I'll muster another table of SP 1 in the near future Smile

There is one space open for Monday's game!

Okay, details for those of you playing on Monday:

    1. Please use MapTools version 1.3 Build 70 which you can download from here: http://www.rptools.net/download/zip/maptool-1.3.b70.zip

    2. Someone else should host the Skype conference--please volunteer here, if you could. Everyone else please post your Skype user IDs here so the organizer can start a conference call easily.

    3. Please try to be available online at 6:30 to ensure you're able to work through bugs with MapTools. "Available" means having Skype on and MapTools installed.

    4. See Jeff's post above for details on what he expects for the table.

    5. The session will likely last til midnight, per Jeff.

    6. Enjoy! Smile[/url]
