Certain revelations appeared concerning Anshar and
the val'Inares family during the Year 6 adventures.

I did not see any mention of these items in reading
the Quickstart description of Anshar and val'Inares.

Are those plot developments being rolled back for
Shattered Empires, or are they just being hidden
carefully from the general populace of Arcanis?

Some of the other Year 6 developments such as the
fate of Calsestus and Menesis and the Tultipetan
Dwarven Enclave are mentioned in the Quickstart.

If I were to take a guess at the answer, I would say that the people (characters) who were privy to that information are primarily keeping their mouths shut. IIRC, the actual confirmation of that 'rumor' was made out of character during story time with uncle Henry. So I don't think that there is any hard and fast evidence that can keep the inquisition off your back if one were to just start evangelizing the scandalous ideas about a member of the pantheon.

So I would think that it's about as far from common knowledge as one could expect. Therefore, in my opinion, I would think that it wouldn't merit mention in the quickstart book for that reason. Again, this is all conjecture and opinion on my part. But that's my guess.

Revelations about them were made In Character at the end of the last story arc, but aside from that I am assuming many are not telling as it would be SO heretical (and with Ms. Theocratic Nut in charge. . . )

Interesting. It sounds like the majority of critical event tables
chose to withhold the information, or else it was suppressed.

I recall that the characters were asked by a certain val'Inares
to transfer certain other key data to Elebac for its distribution.

Did this happen? Did Elebac receive the important information?
Was he asked and/or forced to conceal it for the greater good?

I will just have to force myself not to snicker when a newbie
sits down with their priest of Anshar or val'Inares at my table.

I wonder how just much other "secret lore" exists out there.
All those secret missions, battle interactives, and LARPs that
I missed must be concealing a great deal behind the scenes.

Was there information you missed from the past? You bet your sweet bippy!

If you have the time to read through the Yahoo Group website, especially the older posts, you may get some more information OOC. I missed the modules you speak of but can guess what is so strange about Val'Inares and Anshar though OOC as I believe I've mapped the two paths (and don't tell us). IC I probably need a really high skill of Church Lore, Heresy, Primal, and Elven Lore just to figure it out.
